Cadillac of Birmingham is seeking to hire a full-time SERVICE ADVISOR to provide vehicle service information to customers and work with service technicians to provide the needed and recommended service repairs. Ideal candidates will have a passion for customer service, excel in a team environment, and possess a strong work ethic. Job Description:
- Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain pertinent vehicle information
- Actively promote and build rapport with the customer
- Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
- Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into the service database system
- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection
- Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs
- Confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns
- Consult with customers on applicable service specials and keep customers informed on completion times and service expenses
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous Service Advisor (or similar) experience (1+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 18 years of age to be able to drive for the company
- GM experience is preferred, but not required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Basic mechanical understanding of a vehicle
- Intermediate computer knowledge
